Paul Mitchell
Paul worked for more than 30 years in daily journalism, including 27 years at the Hamilton Spectator where he was Business Editor and Business Columnist. After leaving The Spectator, he joined Brickworks Communications in Burlington, where he worked with clients in both the public and private sectors, including the City of Burlington and Burlington Transit. Paul has been involved with Creative Burlington for several years., He has served as a member of the Rebranding Task Force, and as the editor of our Artworks magazine.

Gord Langford
Gord is a resident of Burlington with his wife Heather, and has actively been involved with tourism in Burlington for over 14 years. Currently he is on the Board of Directors of Tourism Burlington, and served on the Board of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce for several years. He is the founder and past chair of the Burlington Hotel Association and retired as the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel and Conference Centre.

Michael Spinelli
Michael is a Senior Manager in International Tax with Deloitte & Touche LLP, in Burlington. His previous community involvement includes Treasurer for the Brampton Board of Trade. He joined the Board of Directors in 2009.

Barbara Ramsay Orr
Barbara was a Drama, English and Arts teacher for the Wentworth County Secondary School Board before becoming a freelance journalist. Her writing focuses on arts, culture, food and travel and appears in Chatelaine, Canadian Living, The Globe and Mail and Hamilton Magazine. A Burlington resident, Barbara has served as Vice-president of the Travel Media Association of Canada (2004-2006). Barbara is also an artist and joined the Board of Directors in 2009.

Fred Sweeney
Fred retired as Director of Education at the Halton Catholic District School Board in 2001. He currently works as an education consultant and is heavily involved with the Burlington North Rotary Club. He was a founding Board member of the Carpenter Hospice and served as Chair from 2001-2003. He was Chair of the Burlington Rotary Music Festival and in 2007-2008 chaired the Scholarship Committee for Rotary District 7080. He served three years on the Finance Committee of Joseph Brant Hospital, and three years on the Board of Creative Burlington. Fred has also served on the Communications Committee and Promoting Arts Development Committee.

Chris Paterson
Chris owns and publishes SNAP Burlington, a free monthly print publication specializing in a "non-political" friendly and entertaining photographic view of living in our community. He is very involved personally and professionally in Burlington; helping to organize as well as photograph community events for his paper. He has been in the marketing, advertising and printing industry for more than 20 years. Chris has been involved with our organization since founding SNAP Burlington.

Serena Lee
Serena is a lawyer with SimpsonWigleLLP in Burlington and a registered Trademark Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Her practice focuses on business law and trademarks. Before joining Simpson Wigle, Serena spent several years at a leading New Brunswick law firm. Her community work included extensive involvement with the United Way of Greater Saint John and the New Brunswick Association for Community Living. She has served on the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors.

Harry Gelderman
Harry has been a corporate partner with Creative Burlington for several years in his professional capacity as a designer and sales representative with Gelderman Landscaping. In his career, Harry is on Landscape Ontario Contractors Sector groups and Designers Sector Group. He is Chairman of Anchor Association, the Canadian and United Reformed Churches. He is married to Yolanda, the father of 5 boys and grandfather to 2 grandsons. He enjoys, theatre, jazz, football and hockey.

Brad Hails
Brad is a long time resident of Burlington who has been involved in the performing arts for more than 25 years, beginning as a child selling merchandise and touring with his grandfather, Gordie Tapp. He has travelled across North America performing with several bands, most recently with The Killin’ Time Band. Brad has worked in the film and television industry and now operates his own web and graphic design company, Top Banana Media, based in downtown Burlington. He has designed websites for many local businesses. Brad has been on the Board of Directors since 2009.

Rick Craven
Rick has served on council since 2000, representing Ward 1. During his ten years as an elected representative Rick has served as Chair of many committees including: Burlington’s Budget and Strategic Planning Committee, the Community Services Committee, and the Community Development Committee. He has also been Chair of the Regional Health and Social Services Committee, the Diversity Advisory Committee, the Halton Healthy Community Fund and the 211 Advisory Committee. He was President of the Halton Community Housing Corporation. Currently Rick is serving as member of the Burlington Performing Arts Centre Board and the Halton Regional Police Services Board, and the Aldershot Business Improvement Area. |

Rainer Noack
Rainer is the founder and Program Director for Burlington Student Theatre. In his 30-year career in arts education he has developed, coordinated, implemented and encouraged programs targeted at youth aged from three to 30-plus. He has been involved in event organization and volunteer coordination at almost every gala held in Burlington, and worked on or with several boards, including the Board of Theatre Aquarius and the Woodview Children’s Centre. Rainer joined the Board of Directors in 2009.
